Thousands of farmers in India are said to be doing business with it. In the past, there was a dispute between Orissa and West Bengal over Raswari's patent rights. Similarly, the governments of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh of India are also fighting for Kadaknath black chicken. Kadaknath's egg costs 70 Indian rupees per kg and its meat costs 900 rupees per kg. One company and some farmers have been attracted to its commercial cultivation.


Farmers in Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh of India as well as Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh are earning good income from it. It is said that these breeds of chickens can be obtained by contacting India Mart to open a poultry farm of Kadaknath chicken.


Why are people attracted to Kadaknath? : Kadaknath is popular for its taste and medicinal properties. Its blood, flesh and body are black. Compared to other chickens, its meat is high in protein and low in cholesterol


Its meat contains 18 essential amino acids and is rich in B-1, B-2, B-6, B-12, C and E. Its flesh is also used to treat nervous dehydration. It treats a wide variety of ailments.


Today, the discussion of Kadaknath has spread to Delhi. First, the Madhya Pradesh government claimed the Geographical Indication Tag at the Geographical Indication Registration Office, i.e. the GI Tag Office in Chennai.


After that, the Chennai GI Tag Registry Office accepted the application and issued a notice stating that no one has any objection to Madhya Pradesh's claim on Kadaknath's meat. After this, the Dantewada district administration of Chhattisgarh, with the help of a private company, had also submitted its claim on Kadaknath meat in Amanphanan.
